Training Policy Statement

McTaggart Construction has a working ethos based around the skills and achievements of the workforce. In developing our products and services we ensure all our employees are trained in the necessary skills required to provide the level of service we are proud to deliver.

We aim to employ a number of apprentices each year and we provide them with the training and expertise that will benefit our company, clients and the wider industry. Furthermore, all newly qualified tradesmen and women and existing employees are provided with continual training in the form of tool box talks, health and safety training and new construction methods and techniques.

All our young professionals in the field of management, construction and engineering undertake college/university courses to advance their knowledge and professional competence and development. Our existing professionals are encouraged and expected to continue professional development thought CPD courses and seminars given by such authorised bodies as CIOB and the NHBC.

We actively promote the advancement of our employees, skills, knowledge and abilities and as such a forward plan for training is made for each employee as part of their yearly assessment. In addition to the company's requirements for an intelligent and well trained workforce we welcome initiatives for self learning from all our employees with sponsorship available for such projects.
